tool or product in the manner described in this manual. When working with equipment that
has moving parts, there is always the risk of injury. Be careful when working with equipment
equipped with hydraulic hoses ,oil under pressure can penetrate the skin. Seek medical

gle porpose tools. Respect the equipment’s danger zone.

CUTTING AND SPLITTING OF WOOD
•
Walk around and study the machine to familiarize yourself with its features before you
start.
•
Press the engine start button. Wait a few minutes until the oil has gone up to working
temperature. Run the machine several times without placing any wood and check all the
features (feeding, cutting, splitting logs) before the actual work begins to get used to the
controls. Set the right speed on the chainsaw. Make sure no one has hands or arms inside
the machine.
•
Place a straight, delimed log on the conveyor and point it at the chainsaw .
•
Set the length to the desired length.
•
Check the chain oil during operation and at regular intervals and refill if necessary.
•
Start the splitting by bringing it forward. The pressure plate pushes the firewood against
the splitting wedge. CAUTION! Be careful when splitting of hardwood, knotty and / or
crusty wood. Some types of wood can crack or fly off, which may result in injury.
•
If the wood gets stuck in the cleaver: Retract pressure plate to the starting position, open
the protective cover, ensure that the machine is turned off. Warning of crushing! Make
sure the pressure plate is in its original position and has stopped moving before doing
anything to the machine. Never put your hand or other body part between the ramming
plate and the knife, instead use suitable tools such as shives or pry bar to remove the
jammed wood. If you need to turn off the wood use appropriate tools such as a club,
never use your hands
