FLOW CONTROL FOR THE INFEED ROLLERS
Use the flow control valve. The flow control can also be used to adjust the feed speed. Check
the size and quality of the material to determine the correct size and the correct feed speed.
Increase the speed for bushes and twigs, reduce the speed for harder timber or when there is
large load in the machine.
The hydraulic circuit is equipped with a manually-adjustable flow handle. The operator can ad-
just the feed rate to suit the material and conditions at hand. The scale on the flow rate handle
is numbered from 0 to 10 (0 - 100%).
To adjust the flow:
1. Loosen the thumb screw (A)
2. Move the handle to the required position (B)
3. Tighten the thumb screw
NOTE
Make small changes at a time, as small changes can
change the infeed speed drastically.
The upper infeed roller (A) “hovers” to accommodate different material sizes.
By adjusting the spring tensioner (B), the pressure on the material is maintained, and it is still easy
to feed thicker materials. With approx. 2–3 cm of play, the drive rollers can easily drag on the mate-
rial and start feeding it inward. Adjust the tension by turning bolt B and locking the spring.
