3. Change engine oil and filter.
4. Check coolant levels - make sure fluids are at the proper levels.
5. Check for oil, coolant, and fuel leaks - correct any leaks prior to proceeding further.
6. Check battery charge and fluid level - inspect connections for corrosion, clean as necessary.
7. Check flame arrestor - Make sure to clean or replace as necessary.
8. Inspect the exterior of the heat exchanger - clean if necessary.
9. Check alternator belt and tensioner - replace if necessary.
10. Remove and replace fuel filters.
11. Remove, clean, adjust, test, and/or replace spark plugs.
12. Check for loose bolts, nuts, or any loose pieces.
13. Start bilge blower (Let blower run for 10 minutes).
14. Close engine cover.
800-HOUR INSPECTION
WARNING:
Make sure key is not in ignition and no electrical equipment is energized prior to any
engine check or operation. Do not energize engine prior to performing the following steps.
1. Open engine hatch cover and let compartment air out for ten minutes or more.
2. Make sure that no electrical equipment is energized.
3. Change engine oil and filter.
4. Check for oil, coolant, and fuel leaks - correct any leaks prior to proceeding further.
5. Check battery charge and fluid level - inspect connections for corrosion, clean as necessary.
6. Check flame arrestor - make sure it’s cleaned or replaced as necessary.
7. Inspect the exterior of the heat exchanger and clean as necessary.
8. Check alternator belt and tensioner - replace as necessary.
9. Remove and replace fuel filters.
10. Remove and replace spark plugs.
11. Drain and replace coolant in the intercooler charge cooling system.
12. Drain and replace coolant in engine cooling system.
13. Check for any loose bolts, nuts, or parts.
14. Check PCV tubing ends and fittings for cracks or holes and replace as necessary.
15. Start bilge blower (Let blower run for 10 minutes).
16. Close engine cover.
CAUTION:
Make sure the raw waterside of heat exchanger and fuel/oil cooler are drained when
ambient temperature is below 32 Degrees F.
