1. Application and operation
The
KEMPER
Filter-Master is used mainly for source extraction of welding smoke.
Therefore the unit is equipped with one exhaust arm. The contaminated air is drawn in by
the exhaust hood and passes through the exhaust arm to the filter unit. The small particles
are removed from the air stream for more than 99 % by a filter which easily can be replaced.
The so cleaned air is then returned to the workstation.
2. Safety precautions
Caution:
By using electrical devices, the following basic safety instructions must be followed
to prevent shock, injury or fire!
Read and follow these instructions before using the filter unit!
• Keep this installation and operating manual near the filter unit.
• Do not use the unit to extract easily flammable or explosive gases.
• Do not use the unit to extract corrosive substances.
• Protect the electrical cable from heat, oil and sharp edges.
• Make shure, that the unit stands firmly and that the brakes of the casters are locked
• Do not operate the unit without the filter application.
• Protect the unit from dampness and wetness.
• Unplug the unit before you open it!
3. Start-up instructions
Check the rotation direction of the ventilator before installing the exhaust arm!
• Remove the snap fasteners from the and lift the cover.
• Remove the pre-filter and take away the filter insert.
• Connect the unit to input power supply.
• Please notice the details on the type plate.
• Turn on the unit by pushing the protive motor switch for a short time. Then turn it off.
• Check the direction of rotation while the impeller ist still rotating.
The direction must be opposite to clock wise.
• If the direction of the rotation is not correct, you have to change two phases at the plug.
• Place the filter into the unit and close the cover.
• Install now the exhaust arm (see installation manual of the exhaust arm).
• The saturation level of the filter ist electrically monitored. If the red lamp lights up,
the filter must be changed.
