MicroSD Card (X3)
The unit features a MicroSD card slot located on the right side. A MicroSD
icon marks the slot.
SD, SDHC and SDXC cards at capacities of up to 2 Tb are supported.
Insert the MicroSD card with the contacts pointing to the back (to the rear of
the unit).
The MicroSD card slot has a push-in/push-out plug & eject mechanism. You
may have to use a flat object to help you plug in or eject the card.
Industrial vs. commercial products
To operate the unit in industrial environments, you should preferably use industry-grade SD cards instead of
commercial ones.
Features of industry-grade SD cards:
SLC or iMLC memory
Secure write and clear cycles
Longer period of availability and early discontinuation announcement
NOTE
SD card data can neither be read nor written
Control unit / machine failure
To operate the unit in industrial environments, you should preferably use industry-grade
SD cards instead of commercial ones. Using other than the above SD cards may
jeopardise operational safety.
NOTE
Electrostatic discharge (ESD)
Inappropriate handling will destroy the memory card
SD/MicroSD cards are susceptible to electrostatic discharge (ESD). Please take account
of the instructions on how to handle memory cards.
