OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
• Before first use or after long periods of non-use wipe the griddle heating plate
with a damp cloth to ensure that it is clean.
• Ensure that the drip tray is inserted into place before turning the temperature
control to a heat setting.
• For best results always pre-heat the griddle before use. To pre-heat, plug in the
empty griddle, turn the control dial to the desired temperature setting, and allow
the griddle to heat up for three to four minutes.
• After the pre-heat period, place food on the griddle. Check regularly to see how
the food is cooking.
• When the food is fully cooked remove it carefully from the griddle with a
spatula or plastic/wood utensil designed for use on non-stick surfaces.
• Immediately after use unplug the griddle and allow it to cool sufficiently before
cleaning and storage. Always be sure to remove and clean the drip tray.
GETTING THE BEST RESULTS FROM YOUR NO-FAT GRIDDLE
The griddle non-stick surface is designed to cook using only the natural oils and fats
contained within the food—no extra fat has to be added. In addition, during
cooking much of the fat contained within the food is removed and will be collected
in the drip tray, making the food healthier than if fried or grilled using additional
oils or fats.
Best results are obtained when cooking foods containing some natural fats;
for example, all types of meat and fish, burgers and other meat products. Other
types of food can also be cooked including vegetables and sandwiches.

CAUTION:
Never use the griddle without the drip tray inserted. Ensure
that the tray is cleaned out before each session of griddle use. Do not use
griddle if the tray is full of drippings.
