OPERATION:

1. Support the vehicle as detailed in your

vehicle handbook and remove the real
wheels to give access to the rear bushes.

2. Undo and remove both rear axle front

mounting bolts.

3. Pull the front end of the axle down and

secure in position by chocking with a
suitable wedge of solid wood between the
axle and the underneath of the car body.

4. Drift out the old bushes, taking care to note

the original position of the bushes.

5. Oil the threads on the Force Screw (5) and fit

a new bush onto the installation tool and
assemble through the trailing arm as in Fig.2

6. Align the mark on the new bush with the

mark on the trailing arm.

Note!

Use a piece of chalk etc. to mark the

top of the Compressor Sleeve (2), aiding
alignment of the bush and axle marks.

7. Use a 24mm ratchet wrench or spanner to

slowly turn the Force Nut Assembly - (1),
pulling the new bush into position as in Fig.2

8. When the bush is in place, disassemble and

repeat the operation for the second bush.

9. When complete follow the instruction in your

vehicle’s handbook to re-assemble the axle.

SAFETY ADVICE

When carrying out repairs to the underneath of
a vehicle, always make sure the vehicle is
