Recording
In regard to track numbers at the
time of recording
MD track numbers are used to search the
beginning of a track or programming tracks.

When recording audio from the radio,
tape or AUX source, track numbers are
assigned automatically in any of the fol-
lowing cases.
– When audio is input after a no-sound
period of more than about 3 seconds.
(However, the track number may not
be incremented in case the music
source recorded contain noise, etc.)
– When pianissimo, or low-level sections
have continued during recording of
classic music, etc.
– When the MD

or MD REC key is
pressed in record-pause mode to
resume recording.
– When the TRACK EDIT key on the re-
mote is pressed during recording.

When recording the digital output from
CD, track numbers are assigned auto-
matically in any of the following cases.
– When the CD track changes.
– When the MD

or MD REC key is
pressed in record-pause mode to
resume recording.
– When the TRACK EDIT key on the re-
mote is pressed during recording.
