In order to get the added benefits the Windows® operating system provides,
you should make sure the File System properties for CD-ROM are optimized.
Follow the process below to ensure your operating system is set for best results
(as shown in Figure 4-2):
1)
Using the right mouse button, click once on the “My Computer” icon on your
desktop and select “Properties”.
2)
Select the “Performance” tab.
3)
Click once on the “File System” button.
4)
Select the “CD-ROM” tab.
5)
Move the “Supplemental cache size” adjustment bar to “Large” and select
“Quad-speed or higher” in the drop-down menu.
6)
Click “Okay”.
