• In order to re-insert the battery block push the battery block into the
casing of the shearing machine. Close the metal clamp carefully (until
it clicks home).
(see ill. 02)
• Before starting to work always control whether the metal clamp is
being fixed so that the battery block does not come off by mistake.
• Never apply force to insert the battery block into the casing of the
machine. The battery should be plugged in easily otherwise there is a
fault.
CAUTION! ATTENTION!
Your new battery block is still uncharged! Therefore it has to be charged
before working – according to
illustration 03.
When charging a new battery block or a battery block that has not been
used for quite a time it might not be charged fully. This is perfectly
normal and does not indicate any malfunctioning. The battery block can
be charged again fully after being discharged several times.
IMPORTANT! IMPORTANT!
ALWAYS DISCHARGE THE BATTERY BLOCK ENTIRELY BEFORE
RECHARGING IT. LET THE SHEARING MACHINE RUN UNTIL THE SPEED
DROPS CLEARLY.
SUBSEQUENTLY THE BATTERY BLOCK CAN BE CHARGED FULLY
AGAIN.
4. Servicing the Cordless Shearing Machine
4.1 Maintenance before and during clipping
For a perfect clipping and to increase the service life of your shearing
machine a thin layer of oil on the upper and lower blades is always
necessary. All the other moving parts of the clipper head must be well-
oiled to guarantee a best possible functioning and to reduce early wear.
Therefore place some oil regularly (approx. every 10 minutes) on the
clipper blades, sliding rail and into the lubricating hole provided on the
clipper head. We recommend SAE-30 oil. The spots to be lubricated
are clearly marked on
illustration 04.
4.2 Cleaning the clipper head and the clipper blades
Before cleaning absolutely remove the battery block (accumulator).
After clipping clean the clipper head and the clipper blades with
lukewarm water. Then wipe all parts carefully and lubricate them slightly
to prevent rusting. Please note that even small rust spots can adver-
sely affect clipping or make it completely impossible.
