Instructions for use:
The proving unit comes installed with a 9V battery. Remember to
remove the plastic keeper tag sticking out of the battery compartment
by pulling it out.
Have your non-contact voltage tester to hand.
Depress the start auto test button and release. This activates the
proving unit for approximately 5 seconds. The blue LED will indicate the
proving unit is active.
During this 5 seconds hold your non-contact tester tip across the yellow
test point area to prove function.
You do not have to keep the button pressed in. Simply press again to
re-activate for another 5 seconds.
When the blue LED becomes dull then the battery requires
replacement.* Open the battery compartment by using a 6mm flat
bladed screwdriver to turn the lock one quarter turn anti-clockwise as
indicated, and remove the cover. Replace the battery and observe the
correct polarity.
Replace the battery cover and close by turning the lock one quarter
turn clockwise with the same screwdriver.
*N.B – The proving unit is designed to use very little current to enable it to perform many
thousands of tests on a single cell. We recommend battery replacement annually in case of any
leakage. Please observe correct disposal and re-cycling legislation and do not dispose of the
battery in normal refuse.
