How to Zoom Out
To zoom out one level around the active marker:
1 Press the [Next] softkey until you move to your chosen marker.
2 Position the marker using the cursor key.
3 Press the [ZoomOut] softkey to zoom out one level from the active
marker. In this way, you can zoom out from the active marker and the
zoom function is separate for the x and y axes.
To zoom out to the fullest extent:
4 Press the [Menu] softkey. The menu appears.
5 Move to <
Zoom to Overview
>.
To Switch the Grid On/Off
As a default, the graph is displayed with gridlines.
To switch this grid off:
1 Press the [Menu] softkey. The menu appears.
2 Move to <
Grid Off
>.
If the grid has been switched off, to switch the grid on:
1 Press the [Menu] softkey. The menu appears.
2 Move to <
Grid On
>.
How to Use Legends
Legends are used to identify Power Meter channels on the graph in the
following ways:
• Legend numbers that are displayed on the graph.
• Legend texts can be accessed by pressing the [Menu] softkey and
moving to <
Legend
>.
How to Identify Curves
Legend numbers can be related to the curves they represent in the
following ways:
• For the 8163A/B Lightwave Multimeter the legend number is displayed
at the same height as the first sample of the power measurement
channel on the right-hand side of the screen.
• For the 8164A/B Lightwave Measurement System, the legend numbers
are directly beneath the graph. Each number is the same colour as the
curve it represents.
