Standard Event Status Group
These registers are programmed by Common commands. The group consists of an Event and Enable
register. The Standard Event event register latches events relating to communication status. It is a
read-only register that is cleared when read. The Standard Event enable register functions similarly
to the enable registers of the Operation and Questionable status groups. See

description of each register.
The event status register bits are set when certain events occur during instrument operation.
The register is controlled by the IEEE 488 commands *ESE, *ESE?, and *ESR?.

(EXE)
An execution error occurred.

rectly depending on the instrument's conditions.

(CME)
A command syntax error occurred.

128 Power ON (PON)
Power has been cycled since the last time the event register was read or cleared.
