Configure LAN Page
Initial releases of the integrated controller have IP configuration set to DHCP; the
IP Address can only be changed after an initial connection has been established
using an IP assigned by a DHCP server.
When you make a LAN connection between host PC and chassis ESM, and then
power-on the chassis, the following process happens:

The integrated controller, as client, seeks a Dynamic Host Configuration
Protocol (DHCP) server to set the IP configuration.

If you connected the chassis and PC to a corporate LAN, the network should
provide the DHCP addresses.

If you made a direct LAN connection you will need to install a DHCP server on
your PC to assign an initial IP to the integrated controller. Once you have
established an initial connection to the integrated controller you can use the
Configure LAN page described here to set a static IP.
NOTE
If you are having difficulty ‘finding’ a specific AXIe chassis on a
network, you can search by the mDns hostname, which
includes the unique chassis serial number. This number is
located at the rear of the chassis.
