Terminal block strain relief
To reduce strain on the wiring at the terminals and maintain connection reliability,
a strain relief feature has been incorporated into the terminal block design. Six
holes have been placed near the lower edge of the circuit board, lined up with
holes in the terminal block’s bottom cover, as seen on
To use this feature:
1
Once all jumpers are installed and wiring is connected to the terminals,
arrange the wires leading away from the terminal block in two bundles. This is
easiest if the left bundle leads to the terminals on the left side of the block, and
conversely for the right side.
2
Insert a cable tie (tie-wrap, zip-tie) down through each of the four outside
holes in the PCB, continuing down through the holes in the terminal block’s
bottom cover.
3
Route these cable ties up through the center holes in the bottom cover and
PCB.
4
Close and tighten the cable ties as required, and remove any excess so that it
does not interfere with cover closure.
