WLAN Measurement Concepts
Measurement Method
The signal to be measured needs to be a single coded signal such as one
DPCH, a single DPDCH, or a DPDCH and a DPCCH. The phase error of the unit
under test is measured by computing the difference between the phase of the
transmitted signal and the phase of a theoretically perfect signal.
The instrument samples the transmitter output in order to capture the actual
phase trajectory and locate the first complete burst, then demodulates the
burst and compute measurement results, in some cases computing averaged
results, finally displays the measurement results in various views.

List Sequence Measurement Concepts
Purpose
The List Sequence measurement is used to provide fast results on MXA and
EXA. This measurement makes multiple acquisitions to acquire multiple WLAN
bursts which have different frequency, different radio standards (one of
802.11a/g, 802.11b/g, 802.11n and 802.11ac), different power range, different
trigger type, then performs Transmit Power, SEM, Modulation Analysis (EVM)
and Spectral Flatness measurements for each burst. The List Sequence
measurement is focused on manufacturing use cases.
