1.9 Determination of heating power of the device
There is no one ideal formula for calculating area of rooms which may be heated by a
fireplace insert. It is influenced by many factors, the most important one being insulation of
the house or flat to be heated with the fireplace. Because of this, presented below is a simple
relationship for determining heating capability of the KFD ECO insert (table 1).
However, please remember that heating capabilities of the fireplace insert are also influenced
by other factors, including:

quality of wood used: humidity and calorific value,
-
climate conditions
– ambient temperature,
-
chimney draught,
-
properly constructed installation of the fireplace insert,
-
properly constructed installation of hot air distribution,
-
time of heating the rooms by means of the fireplace insert,
-
proper operation of the device.
