IV. WHEELCHAIR USE & CONFIGURATION
M. Attendant Foot Lock (Hub Lock)
How to Use Your Attendant Foot Lock
1. Remove both wheels from your wheelchair.
2. Use a 24mm wrench to loosen (do not remove) both of the axle sleeve nuts (Fig. 22:A).
3. Twist the axle tube to the desired angle. If the foot tilt is installed, it is not recommended to
make large changes to the foot pedal as this can overstress the cables attached to the foot
tilt.
4. Retighten the nuts and replace the wheels.
5. Ensure the rear frame still folds properly for storage.
N. Surface Temperature
WARNING: Handling of wheelchair surfaces with elevated temperatures can result in a
potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in injury.
Be aware that prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or other sources of radiant heat may
increase the temperature of surfaces on your wheelchair above recommended limits estimated
by standards.
