IV. WHEELCHAIR USE & CONFIGURATION
S. Changing Polymers (Continued)
2. Push the polymers (Fig. 22:B) that you are replacing, out of the tower and push in new
polymers. Ensure edges of polymer line up with the groove inside the tower. See the chart
below to help determine which polymers suit the type of ride you desire, soft or firm, based
on the user weight and the chair center of gravity. The polymer part number and color are
called out in the chart. See the image below chart for illustration.
NOTE: There is tape (Fig. 22:A) inside of the tower. The tape covers the inside of the tower
opening except for the top section with the polymer alignment notches. Ensure the tape is
still in place while installing the new polymer.
3. Reinstall the two washers (Fig. 23:A) and the insert (Fig. 23:B) and slide the ISO tech tower
back over to keep the hardware in place. Reinstall the bolt (Fig. 23:C), washer (Fig. 23:D) and
the nut (Fig. 23:E) using a 4mm Allen wrench and a 10mm wrench to secure the ISO tech
tower in place. Repeat on the opposite ISO tech tower.
4. Repeat the steps, if needed, on the rear ISO tech towers.
