Operating the external devices
iPod
iPod
is a registered trademark of Apple
Inc.
Connecting iPod devices
Connect the iPod device as shown in the
picture.
The identification of the iPod device, battery
recharge, and other functions provided by
the iPod device can be normally supported
only by using a separated sold iPod
connector cable.
If the USB cable provided upon purchasing
the iPod for charging is used as the connector
cable, the device will be recognized as a USB
and may not properly operate or display all of
the display information.
Supported iPod devices : iPod 3G, iPod 5G,
5.5G, iPod Mini, iPod Nano 1G, 2G.
If iPod mode cannot be entered due to
identification error, no track, incompatible
protocol version, or other reasons, a pop-up
message "No Media Connected" will be
displayed for 5 seconds and return
automatically to the previous mode.
If the message continues even after
reconnecting the iPod, check to see if there
are any problems with the iPod device.
CAUTION
If a playing iPod is connected to the audio
system, a high-pitched tone may occur for
approximately 1-2 seconds.
Please turn the iPod device to pause/stop
prior to connecting it to the vehicle.
Listening to music from iPod
Connect the iPod or press the
button on the control panel if the iPod is
already connected.
INFORMATION
Even if the iPod is connected, the 'No Media
Connected' message may be displayed if an
error has occurred. In such a case, reconnect
the iPod.
