Adjust the chain tension by turning the tensioner
screw until the bottom of the chain touches the bottom
of the guide bar.
Tighten the mounting nut securely with the bar tip held
up (TORQUE: 9.0 ~ 1.7 N.m. / 90 ~ 120kg-cm-. Then
check the chain for smooth rotation and correct
tension while moving it by hand. Re-adjust if neces-
sary.
It is very important to maintain the correct chain
tension. Rapid wear of the guide bar or the chain
coming off easily can be caused by incorrect
tension. Check chain tension regularly, especially
with a new chain, as it should expand after first use.
Depending on your working posture, slide the
harness suspension point up/down the main shaft of
the machine until the unit balances.

BALANCING THE UNIT
Remove the screw from the end of the hedge
trimmer.
Insert the end of the hedge trimmer into the drive
shaft.
Line up the hole on the end of the hedge trimmer
with the hole in the drive shaft, screw firmly into
place.
Screw the bolt in to fix the hedge trimmer into place.
