DRILLING

10

Keep a firm grip of the auger at all times on a wide stance and by holding the handle with

both hands.

A sudden jolt may occur on the auger when the drill has hit stones, tree roots or debris

under the ground.  Always hold the auger securely and firmly to keep the auger under

control.

Start drilling with half-throttle and gradually increse the engins speed to ensure smooth

drilling into the ground.

If the drill is caught in the ground and cannot be pulled out, stop the engine and rotate the

auger counter-clockwise.

AIR FILTER

(1) Filter element

If air filter blocked, will reduce engine performance.

Check filter element (1).  Clean in warm soapy water

when required.  Dry completely before installing.  If

filter is damaged or shrunk, replace with new one.

IMPORTANT

If the air filter is blocked, the efficiency of the engine

will be reduced.  In addition, internal engine compo-
