DRUM BRAKE
• LightMan Start Plus version is equipped with a drum brake,
which should only be operated by an accompanying person
via the brake lever located on the push handles. (Pic. No.
12). The drum brake should be used as both a locking brake
and also as a service brake. (Pic. No. 13) When used as
a service brake it provides well-regulated deceleration. The
locking brake function is used for parking. To lock the brake,
pull the brake lever and push the locking lever upwards.
To release the locking brake, pull the brake lever upwards
softly and the locking mechanism releases automatically. To
achieve optimum braking efficiency, the braking power is set
using the adjusting screw The braking power is increased by
unscrewing the adjusting screw and reduced by tightening
it.

VELCRO STRAPS
• LightMan Start Plus model has velcro straps on backrest, which help to regulate the level
of comfort (Pic. No. 14). In order to regulate the level of comfort, take off the cover of the
backrest, unstick velcro straps, set your level of comfort and stick the straps again.
