Warning! To prevent tipping and avoid potential
injury, stakes must be driven 13” into ground.
Digging or driving stakes can be dangerous if you
do not check first for under-ground wiring, cables
or gas lines.
A:
In the spot shown in fig. 33.1 drive 1 Rebar Ground Stake 13” into the ground against the (280) TNR
Ground Brace. Be careful not to hit the washer while hammering stake into the ground as this could cause the
washer to break off.
B:
Attach the ground stake to (280) Ground Brace just below the bolt head using 1 (S7) #12 x 2” Pan Screw
as shown in fig. 33.2.
C:
After driving stakes into the ground, check for sharp edges caused by the impact of the hammer. Smooth
any sharp edges from impact area and touch up with outdoor paint.
