Assembly Instructions

This Kinder Valley Cot conforms to BS EN 716:2008 + A1:2013
WARNING: Be aware of the risk of open fire and other sources of strong heat, such as electric bar fires, gas
fires, etc. in the near vicinity of the cot.
WARNING: Do not use cot if any part is broken, torn or missing and use only spare parts approved by Kinder
Valley.
WARNING: Do not use more than one mattress.
WARNING: Do not leave anything in the cot or place the cot close to another product, which could provide
a foothold or present a danger of suffocation or strangulation (e.g. strings, blind/curtain cords etc.).
The cot should not be placed too close to other furniture or windows.
• We recommend you use a Kinder Valley mattress size 100cm x 50cm. There should never be a gap of more
than 3cm between the mattress and sides or ends of the cot.
• The thickness of the mattress used with this cot must not reduce the internal depth (from mattress surface
to top of side) to less than 50cm with the base in the lowest position, or 20cm with the base in the highest
Position.

• Use only on firm ground which is on a horizontal level and dry.

To prevent injury, the cot should not be used as soon as the child is able to climb out of the cot unaided.
In order to clean, use only a mild detergent and warm water. Do not bleach or use any abrasive substances.

This Kinder Valley Cot is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase; (please retain your receipt as

All assembly fittings should be tightened properly and checked regularly to ensure that no screws are loose
and re-tightened as required. Loose screws or fittings could trap parts of the body, or clothing (e.g. ribbons,
drawstrings, necklaces ) this could pose a risk of strangulation.
The lowest mattress base position is the safest, the base should always be used in that position as soon
as the baby is old enough to sit up.
