HANDLING NEW TRACTOR 5-5
069O502A
PARKING
(1) Chocks
Pull the parking brake lever.
WARNING
If necessary to park on an incline,
be sure to chock the wheels to pre-
vent accidental rolling of the ma-
chine.
Before getting off the tractor, be
sure to stop the engine and lower
the implement to the ground.
TURNING
When turning on curves, be sure to re-
duce the speed, then turn the steering
wheel.
WARNING
The individual rear wheel brak-
ing on this tractor permits tighter
turns and increased traction un-
der slippery conditions. Sudden
application of one brake at high-
er speed or while making fast
turns could cause the tractor to
roll over.
CHECK WHILE OPERATING
While driving, make the following checks
to see that all the parts are functioning
normally.
COOLING WATER
WARNING
Do not remove radiator filler cap
until coolant temperature is be-
low its boiling point. Then loosen
cap slightly to the stop to relieve
any excess pressure before remov-
ing cap completely.
If the temperature of the cooling water
rises above 100°C (212°F). Immediately
stop the engine and exercise the follow-
ing checks and remedies, with the safety
caution in mind.
1. Shortage or leakage of cooling water.
2. Foreign matter on the radiator net and
dust and dirt between the radiator fins
and tube.
3. Loose fan drive belt.
4. Blockage in the radiator tube.
CAUTION
For details concerning supply of
water to the radiator, read section
on the radiator on chapter 10.
