1. park the machine on a flat sur-
face, lower the implement and
shut off engine.
2. Depress the brake pedals and ap-
ply the parking brake.
3. set all shift levers into the neutral
position.
4. stop the engine.

Be careful not to let the fuel
tank become empty, otherwise
air will enter the fuel system,
necessitating bleeding before
next engine start.
Be careful not to spill during
refueling. If a spill occur, wipe
it off at once, or it may cause a
fire.
If unit is not used for a long
time, make sure the fuel vis-
cosity is suitable for the cold
weather.

5. pull out the oil dipstick, clean it,
and then insert it into its original
position. Then, pull it out again
and check if the oil level is within
the specified range.
6. if the oil level is too low, add some
new oil so that the level is with-
in the allowable range. (refer to
“Lubricant” in this chapter for fluid
specs.
