Check track conditions: no cuts, cracks, foreign substances, small pieces
or other damages must be visibile. Apply this procedure when tracks are
eccessively worn.
To replace tracks, the engine must be switched off, the machine must rest
on the track inner part on a stable raised surface. Use the following
procedure:
- Tighthen (D1) nuts on both (F) threads which are placed at (M)
spring ends.
- Tighten (D1) nuts till you close (M) springs thoroughly; this will help
loosen track tension.
- Remove (V) screws which connect (RT) driving track cogwheels to axle
shaft.
- Insert a lever from inside between track and tensioner roller (A), then
let the track slide by removing it from its place. For this operation, two
people are needed.
- To re-install track, wind it up to (RT-A-R) wheels, in order to facilitate
operation insert a lever from utside, between (A) tensioner roller and
track to be installed, paying attention to mid pitches which will have to
match toothing of (RT) driving wheel.
- After this operation, loosen (D1) nuts previously tighten, so that (M)
springs go back to their original position, finally tighten screws which block
driving cogwheels.
