Lift the brim of the tub up when connecting the valve (picture on right) to
fit the valve. Use pipe tape in all pipe thread connections, in case the
connection does not have any sealing. The plug in the shut-off valve is
opened and locked by tightening the plug with a ring nut and by moving
the loosened plug in or out. Do not leave the plug on and closed for
longer periods so that it will not get stuck in the valve body.
Do not overtighten the plug. Only tighten half a turn at a time until any
leaking stops. Do not leave the plug in or out for prolonged periods of
time to ensure that it does not get stuck in the valve body. When
removing the plug, wait for the rubber seal of the plug to slightly recover
so as to make it easier to remove.
FIRE SAFETY
In case the tub is placed near buildings, e.g.
the edge of a terrace, ensure that the
chimney is located away from flammable
materials. Remember to check the distance
both sideways and vertically in order to
avoid the risk of fire. The distance should be
three metres away from any flammable
material. A smaller dimension is sufficient
for the chimney. In case the chimney is
closer, use a separately insulated chimney.
When near a roof or when running the
chimney through the roof, the end of the
insulated chimney needs to be one metre
above the roof.
There should be no flammable material located in front of and below the hearth. In practical terms,
this means that an area of incombustible material, such as concrete, sand, or a metal plate, is
needed in front of the hearth. The stove will not heat up above the water temperature as the stove
is surrounded by a water jacket. The chimney and door of the stove will heat up, however. Ask more
from a local fire authority.
Fastening the stove
External CULT stoves are supplied separately and the stove’s package includes model-specific
instructions and supplies for attaching them. Easy tanks do not have handles, as the stove will be
placed so close to the ground that it is easier to support from underneath. On an even surface,
there should be approx. 20 mm of space for the support below the stove. However, the proper
height of the support should always be checked at the installation site. Any drink trays / cover
plates can be attached to the stove’s handles with screws supplied with the stove. Ensure the
water-tightness and fastening to the tub. A model-specific drink stand / protective panelling series
attached to the stove are available.
