SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE KA-RC-1

ULTRASONIC RECORD RESTORATION SYSTEM v3.0
CON’T
-Never run the machine for more than 35 minutes. After 35 minutes of continuous use, remove the
record assembly exposing the water in the tank, then turn the machine off for 10-15 minutes to allow the
ceramic ultrasonic transducers in the unit to cool. Failure to-do so will damage the unit and void
warranty. ADDED: NEVER RUN THE MACHINE WITH AN EMPTY TANK!
-The temperature status bar on the unit moves from left to right as the unit is
used, this as the ultrasonic bubbles that cavitate generate heat which in turns
warms the water in the tub. Green, (cold water), then Green
—Orange, then
Green-Orange- Red (long bar), then Green-Orange-Red (long bar), Red (short
bar). This is normal.
-When you see a SMALLER RED LIGHT BAR to the right of the long red bar
both APPEAR AND FLASH, the ceramic transducer temperature has
reached a preset limit. Complete your cycle with your record. Remove the
record assembly to expose the water in the basin and then turn the unit off
and let cool for 10-15 minutes. Removing the record assembly cover allows
the water in the tank to also cool more quickly.
SOME HANDY TIPS:
-NEVER LEAVE A RECORD IN THE UNIT WHEN THE RECORD IS NOT SPINNING.
-CHANGE THE WATER OUT AFTER WASHING 15-20 RECORDS OR WHEN THE WATER IN THE
TANK BECOME MURKY, WHICH EVER COMES FIRST. USE THE Degas/PULSE FUNCTION FOR
ONE CYCLE AFTER EVERY 5 RECORDS TO REMOVE AIR FROM THE WATER IN THE TANK. (This
improves the cavitation effect of the ultrasonic)
-NEVER LEAVE WATER IN THE TANK IF THE SYSTEM IS NOT IN USE OR KEEP OVERNIGHT.
DISCARD USED WATER. DO NOT REUSE THE WATER AFTER A SESSION THE NEXT DAY.
-AFTER DAILY USE:
1) EMPTY TANK, DISCARD WATER. 2) USE THE RABBIT CLOTH WITH A LITTLE
70% ALCOHOL APPLIED TO POLISH THE STAINLESS STEEL TANK. 3) MIST THE UNDERSIDE OF
THE RECORD ASSEMBLY WITH DISTILLED WATER. USE THE MICROFIBER RABBIT CLOTH TO DRY
THE GEARS. MOVE THE BELT BY HAND TO GAIN ACCESS TO ALL GEARS, DRYING THEM. 4)
REMOVE THE FELT RECORD GUIDES, MIST THEM WITH DISTILLED WATER, USE THE RABBIT
CLOTH TO FIRST PAD DRY, THEN LET AIR DRY. THEN RETURN THE PADS TO THEIR ORIGINAL
POSITION.
-BETWEEN APPLICATIONS OF SURFACTANT, MIST THE GOAT HAIR BRUSH WITH DISTILLED
WATER. DRY THE BRUSH USING THE RABBIT CLOTH.
