Operation
5
Before using the convection countertop oven for the first time:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Ensure the power cord is unplugged and the timer control knob is in the OFF position.
3. Clean all accessories with warm, soapy water or in a dishwasher.
4. Thoroughly dry all accessories and re-assemble into the convection countertop oven.
5. Plug the power cord into the electrical outlet.
6. Operate the convection countertop oven at the highest temperature (450°F) on TOAST
mode for approximately 15 minutes to eliminate packing residue and initial traces of
odor.
NOTE:
Initial start-up operation may result in minimal smell and smoke for approximately 15
minutes. This is normal and harmless. It is due to the burning of the protective substance the
factory applied to the heating elements.
Convection Cooking
Convection cooking combines hot air movement by means of a fan with the regular functions
(broil, bake and toast). In many cases, convection cooking provides significantly faster
cooking than regular radiant type toaster ovens. The fan gently circulates air to every part of
the food, quickly browning, crisping, and sealing in moisture and flavor. It produces an even
temperature all around the food, therefore cooking food more evenly versus conventional
ovens that have hot and cold spots. The convection feature also cooks and bakes at lower
temperatures which saves energy and keeps the kitchen cooler.
Broil
NOTE:
BROIL function only uses the upper heating element. For best results, it is
recommended that you preheat the convection countertop oven for 15 minutes on 450°F.
1. Turn the temperature control knob to 450°F.
2. Turn the function control knob to BROIL.
3. Turn the timer control knob counter-clockwise to STAY ON and preheat the convection
countertop oven for 15 minutes.
4. Place food on the wire rack and brush the food with sauces or oil as desired.
5. Place the wire rack as close as possible to the upper heating element without the food
touching it.
