Remove the Door
1. Using a
⁷⁄₆₄
"Allen wrench, remove the top hinge screw pin.
2. Tilt the door forward and lift it off the bottom hinge pin.
Remove the refrigerator door. Discard the top and bottom
hinges.
Remove the Gasket
1. Place the refrigerator door on a soft clean working surface
with the door gasket facing upward.
2. Remove the door gasket. To keep the gasket from tearing,
gently pull it out of the door beginning in the middle and
working toward the outside edges.
Remove the Sheet-Metal Panel
1. Remove the two screws located on both sides of the top trim
piece. Remove the top trim piece.
NOTE: Do not discard the two screws. Set aside for use
during “Assemble the Door.”
2. Lift the sheet-metal panel up and out of the door frame as
shown.
3. Set the sheet-metal panel aside for later use. See “Attach the
Overlay Panel to the Sheet-metal Panel.”
Attach the Pivot Plate
1. Tap the nylon inserts into the two holes drilled in the overlay
panel.
2. Using two #6 screws, attach the pivot plate to the top of the
overlay panel as shown.
3. If required, attach optional cabinet handle to the overlay
panel.
NOTE: If an optional cabinet handle is installed, be sure to
countersink the mounting screws.
