Using port X3, connector X3.5 on KLplus or connector X1.6 on the valve cable X1 on KL24plus, a
metering pump can be connected to the controller.
Plants, which are delivered with the phosphate precipitation function, have a metering pump in the
cabinet for this purpose. A suction and a pressure hose are connected to the pump.
The running time of the dosing pump is determined by the time set for the pump in the service menu. The
amount of the precipitant
addition is therefore dependent
on the set time. The large
pump Compact has a
potentiometer for power
adjustment. The table below
provides an overview of the
dosing feature. The dosage
required in each case can be
found in the construction
approval (see CD). Changes in
dosage may be made only by
a maintenance person. To
start up the precipitant device,
the container with the
precipitant must be stored in a
frost-free place (e.g.,
equipment cabinet, on the
partition, or in the manhole of
the plant). The pressure and the suction hose must also be installed frost-free. The pressure hose must
be inserted in the SBR reactor and placed in the reactor so that the outlet is located above the reactor
pool and it is ensured that the precipitant falls directly into the water to be treated and does not come into
contact with any components (aggressive chemical, risk of damage to parts!). The outlet must never be
immersed in the water!
Insert the hose into the precipitant container far enough to ensure proper suction from the bottom.
Connect the suction and pressure hose to the hose spout of the pump and secure it with the union
nuts.
Use the menu item Manual Mode to switch on the phosphate pump and verify proper suction of the
precipitant. If necessary, swap the hoses at the connections.
