7. The bicycle
All other accessories of your Pedelec are high quality, con-
ventional bicycle components whose handling and operation
should be explained here briefly. Important information regar
-
ding the adjustment, operation and maintenance of the bike
and its accessories are summarized here.
You will also find further information in the accompanying user
manuals of each manufacturer.
7.1 Saddle and handlebar adjustment
The Q-Power comes in only one frame size. The adjustment
to your body size and their needs will be made on the saddle,
stem and handlebar adjustment, which is normally done by
the authorized dealer.
In order to readjust by yourself or in the case of a driver
change the settings are briefly described in the following lines.
Caution: All work described require mechanic
experience and appropriate tools. Use to tighten
the screws a torque wrench and never exceed the
maximum torque of the screws. All the necessary
tools and information to the torques can be found
in chapter 11, Technical Data.
Adjustment of the saddle height:
The optimal saddle height is if you touch the pedal with the heel
of your stretched leg, when sitting on the saddle (Image 35).
Open the upper quick release on the seat post itself, pull up
the upper part of the seat post completely and close the lever.
Open the lower quick release and adjust the height accordin
-
gly. Align the saddle with the frame using the saddle nose and
top tube as references. Fasten the lever of the quick release
of the seat clamp again and check the correct height of the
saddle. Repeat the process if necessary until you find the cor
-
rect saddle height. The quick releases are adjusted correctly
when the levers are rectangular to the longitudinal axis of the
