6.2.2 Connecting electrostatic filters
The electrostatic filters are energized with DC gener-
ator with 4000V output power and 3,5 mA current ef-
ficiency enclosed in the IP56 casing.
The filter anodes are energized with the (+) (plus)
electrode and the filter casing acts as the cathode
which is energized with the (-) (minus) and it should
be connected as the AHU earthing.
The earthing has to be installed in the AHU floor,
near the filter slideways
.
One generator is able to supply up to 8 filtering sec-
tions, i.e. one 1200 filter or two 600 filters.
The generator is energized with one-phase voltage
230V, 50Hz.
Power required for one generator is 36W.
The generator dimensions: 310 × 230 × 125 mm

6.2.3 Connection of heating and cooling blocks
Water heaters and coolers
Exchangers should be connected in such a way as to prevent stresses that may cause mechanical damage and
leaks. For this reason we recommend appropriate compensation of the supply and return pipeline mitigating longitu-
dinal expansion of the pipes. Bolting the supply and return pipe to the exchanger connectors should be done using a
counter torque wrench to hold the connector.
The hydraulic installation and exchanger connection should allow their unrestrained disconnection and removal from
the unit for repair or maintenance.
The supply and return connectors are marked in an appropriate way on the AHU casing and their outlets are de-
scribed in the diagrams.

Connecting water heaters and coolers
Connection of water exchangers should support operation in the counter flow system.
Otherwise the average temperature difference of the medium in the exchanger and in flow-
ing air will be reduced and in turn it will lead to decreased exchanger efficiency
(up to 10% for heaters and up to 20% for coolers).
