APPLICATIONS
You may use this tool for the purpose listed below:
Driving nuts and bolts using an impact socket
SWITCH TRIGGER
See Figure 1, page 9.
To turn the tool
ON, depress the switch trigger. To turn it
OFF, release the switch trigger.
REVERSIBLE
See Figure 1, page 9.
The impact wrench has a rocker-type switch trigger for
operating the wrench in forward or reverse. To operate the
wrench in a forward direction, depress the lower half of the
switch. To operate the wrench in reverse, depress the upper
half of the switch.
To stop the wrench, release the switch trigger and allow the
motor to come to a complete stop.
OPERATION
notice:
To prevent gear damage, always allow the anvil to come to
a complete stop before changing the direction of rotation.
TWO-SPEED SWITCH
See Figure 2, page 9.
The impact wrench has a two-speed switch designed for
operating at
LO (1) or HI (2) speeds. A slide switch is lo-
cated on top of the wrench to select either
LO (1) or HI (2)
speed. When using the wrench in the
LO (1) speed range,
the IPM (Impacts Per Minute) will decrease. When using the
wrench in the
HI (2) speed range, IPM will increase. Use the
LO (1) speed for slow applications and HI (2) speed for fast
applications.
INSTALLING AND REMOVING SOCKETS
See Figure 3, page 9.
Use only sockets designed for impact wrenches. Always
select the correct size impact socket for nuts and bolts.
CAUTION:
Using the wrong size socket may damage the nut or
bolt and cause the fastening torque to be inaccurate or
inconsistent.
Unplug the tool.
Push the socket onto the anvil until the detent pin locks
it into place.
To remove the socket, pull it away from the anvil.
