OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
10. Operating the Rotary Hammer
WARNING
• To reduce the risk of explosion, check the utility
lines electricity, gas or water supply line are
hidden in the work area before any work.
• When working at low temperatures:
The hammering mechanism begins to operate
only when the tool has reached a minimum
operating temperature.
Press the tip of the hammer bit briefly against
the work surface while power on the tool. Repeat
this procedure if necessary until reaches the
minimum operating temperature.
Drilling
When drilling in wood, metal, and plastic and for
screwdriving with accessories without SDS-plus
(e.g. drill bit with cylindrical shaft), the corresponding
SDS-plus adapter (not included) should be used.
a. Install the suitable adapter.
b. Set the tool at drilling mode , and set the
depth gauge to the desired drilling depth.
c. Hold the rotary hammer firmly with both hands.
d. Support the workpiece near the drilling site.
Clamp the workpiece securely so that the
workpiece will not move while drilling.
e. When drilling ferrous metal, pre-drill a smaller
hole and lubricate drill bit with oil.
f. Turn on the tool and start drilling.
g. Always waiting for the tool to stop completely
before place it on the work piece.
Hammer Drilling
WARNING
• Do not use bit without SDS-plus for hammer
drilling. Bit and drill chuck would be damaged by
hammer drilling.
• When working with a SDS-plus bit, set the operating
mode selector to hammer drilling mode .
Chipping and Chiseling
a. Set the mode selector (C) to the chiseling mode.
b. Install the appropriate chisel.
c. To adjust the head of the chisel to the desired
angle, set the operating mode to non-working
mode
and rotate the chisel by hand. Return the operating mode to the Chiseling mode .
d. Adjust the auxiliary handle as required.
e. Hold the tool firmly with both hands.
f. Turn on the tool and start working.
NOTE:
Turn the tool on and apply slight pressure on the tool so that the tool will not bounce
around and uncontrolled. Pressing very hard on the tool will not increase the efficiency.
