OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
3. To Attach Battery Pack
a. Align the raised portion on the battery pack
with the grooves on the bottom of the tool, then
slide the battery pack onto the tool, as shown.
b. Make sure that the latches on the battery pack
snap into place and the battery pack is secured
to the tool before beginning operation.
NOTICE:
When placing the battery pack on the
tool, be sure that the raised rib on the battery pack
aligns with the groove on the tool and the latches
snap into place properly. Improper assembly of
the battery pack can cause damage to internal
components.
To Detach Battery Pack
a. Press the battery-release buttons to release the battery pack.
b. Pull backward on the battery pack to remove it from the tool.
WARNING
• Battery tools are always in operating condition. Therefore, always remove the battery pack
when the tool is not in use or when carrying the saw at your side.
4. To Start/Stop the Chainsaw
a. To turn the saw ON, pull the chain kickback
brake handle (E) towards the front handle, to
the operating position.
b. Grasp the front (D) and rear (B) handles firmly,
using both hands.
c. Press the lock-off button (C), and then squeeze
the trigger switch (A).
WARNING
• Make sure no objects or obstructions are in the
immediate vicinity which could come in contact
with the bar and chain.
a. To turn the saw OFF, release the trigger switch
and allow the chain to come to a complete stop.
b. Push the chain kickback brake handle forward to the brake position to engage the chain
brake.
