Error 21-119, 22-119, or 23-119: Film Contact Failure
Messages
Description
Note
UPPER DRAWER (U) = 21. MIDDLE DRAWER (M) = 22. LOWER DRAWER (L) = 23.
This error occurs only when attempting to pick up a film or checking for film in the
CARTRIDGE. After the PICKUP HOME SENSOR (S1x) acknowledged that the PICKUP
assembly left the home position, the CUPS ENGAGED SENSOR (S2x) did not acknowledge
that the PICKUP HEEL successfully made contact with the surface of the film pack. Because
the PICKUP DRIVE MOTOR (M3) was operating long enough to leave home, the most
possible cause is a failed CUPS ENGAGED SENSOR (S2x). A FILM OUT SENSOR (S3x)
that failed in the unblocked state might also be a cause. The error is cleared when the
IMAGER power is cycled.
Result of Error
The system cannot make a print from the SUPPLY DRAWER. The SPOOLER is able to
receive and queue jobs, and print from any other available SUPPLY DRAWER.
User Action
1
Restart the LASER IMAGER from the LOCAL PANEL.
2
If the error occurs again, call Service.
