Error 21-120, 22-120, or 23-120: CUPS Engaged Failure

Messages

Description

Note

UPPER DRAWER (U) = 21. MIDDLE DRAWER (M) = 22. LOWER DRAWER (L) = 23.

This error occurs only when attempting to pick up a film. After the PICKUP HEEL was
acknowledged down on the surface of the film pack, the CUPS ENGAGED SENSOR (S2x)
did not acknowledge proper movement of the PICKUP VACUUM ARM to separate and pick
up 1 film from the film pack after 9 attempts. This movement involves only the PICKUP
DRIVE MOTOR (M3x) and the CUPS ENGAGED SENSOR (S2x), so it is possible that one of
these components failed or the film pack is blocked (stuck together), preventing the
movement of the PICKUP VACUUM ARM. The error is cleared when the SUPPLY DRAWER
is closed (as indicated by the SUPPLY DRAWER INTERLOCK).

Result of Error

The system cannot make a print from the SUPPLY DRAWER. The SPOOLER is able to
receive and queue jobs, and print from any other available SUPPLY DRAWER.

User Action

Install a new FILM CARTRIDGE.
