To test any of the MICROCONTROLLERS on the I

C bus, select
Diagnostics>MCS>MCS Diagnostics
.

From the “Select Diagnostic” drop-down menu, select the type of test. The test types
include:
•
“Micro Controllers” - This diagnostic runs the same tests on the
MICROCONTROLLERS that are run normally during “self-test”.
•
“Memory” - This diagnostic checks image memory by writing to the memory and then
reading it back.
•
“Reset” - This function resets the selected MICROCONTROLLER to the original
condition.
Note
If you select “Memory”, from the “Cycle” drop-down menu, select if the test should be run for
“One Cycle” or “Continuous”.

From the “Select Operation” drop-down menu, select the MICROCONTROLLER you want
to test:

If you select either “Optics” or “Sorter” from the “Select Microcontroller” menu, you must set
the SERVICE SWITCH to the service position before running the test.

Click [Run].
Tests will run once (except if “Continuous” was selected) and display “Pass ”or “Fail.”

Click the bottom line of the screen to display test results data.
