Start/Resume/Pause buttons
— press to start (>) scanning, resume (/)
scanning or pause (II) to temporarily stop scanning. Also includes a green
LED indicating scanner status (i.e., power is on and ready to scan) and a
red LED indicating scanner status (not ready or a possible error condition;
i.e., a document jam).

Power button
— when you hold the power button for longer than a few
seconds the scanner will turn off.

Stop button
— stops scanning.

Operator Control Panel
— displays 1 - 9 and messages. These
numbers correspond to a predefined function.

In addition, one of these icons may be displayed:

Scanner cover release latch
— pull the release latch to open the
scanner cover.

Output tray
— collects the scanned documents.
Indicates that documents are in the input tray and the
scanner will scan from the input tray.
If your scanner is connected to an optional
Kodak
A3 or
Legal Flatbed Accessory, and there are documents in the
input tray, the scanner will scan from the input tray.
If no documents are in the input tray, the flatbed icon is
highlighted. The document will be scanned from the flatbed if
this option is configured in your scanning application.
