Figure 24: Safety interlock override label
DANGER: Unauthorized use of an interlock override tool, such as a safety interlock
override (SIO) switch, can expose you to laser radiation, moving mechanical parts,
and/or electrical shock. Exposure to visible and/or invisible high-powered laser
radiation can burn skin and can cause permanent degradation or loss of eyesight.
Moving mechanical parts can create a hazardous situation, which, if not avoided,
will result in death or serious injury.
When you are doing maintenance or error recovery procedures, you
may see a label that reminds authorized service representatives of
mechanical hazards when they are using the safety interlock override
to service the device. The beware-of-moving-parts label for service
representatives is located on the leading-edge clamp, behind the rear
panel.
