hatch on the roof at either end of the APL. Pulling a cable-activated
emergency stop device also stops operation of the Magnus VLF
platesetter component.
After you pull a cable-activated emergency stop device, the APL
cannot resume operation until you reset it as follows:
1. Locate the cable-activated emergency stop device reset switch
behind the APL panel farthest away from the Magnus VLF
platesetter.
Note: There are two types of reset switches as described below.

2. Reset the switch in accordance with its type:

For the type with a turning switch, turn the blue reset switch
back to

For the type with a pushbutton, push the blue reset button back
in.
Internal lights
The APL has internal lights that automatically illuminate when any
emergency stop mechanism in the system is activated.
Exit hatches
The APL has two exit hatches located on the roof at either end of the
APL as shown below.
