to Note 1 and Note 2 below.

ESD brushes are meant to have the carbon fibers in the same proximity
of the media but not actually touch the media.

NOTE 2:
align ESD brush bracket to extreme rear edge of platen; allow brush to
extend approximately 0.25” (7 mm) from rear surface of platen. The carbon
brushes should be 0.10” (2.54 mm) to 0.25” (6.35 mm) from the media surface
when media is loaded. Refer to Figure B below.
Tip:
The brush
bracket can be
more easily
aligned by
pushing the
bracket up
against the
exhaust grill (s)
on underside of
printer chassis.
