Drive gearbox
Check the
drive gearbox oil level
each time before putting into operation and after every 8
hours of operation – dipstick and oil filling aperture.
The oil level must be between the two marks on the dipstick when the tractor is in a horizontal
position. The lower mark denotes the minimum oil level; the upper mark denotes the maximum
oil level.
To do this you must first unscrew the dipstick, wipe it off with a clean rag and screw it in again.
Then unscrew it again and read off the oil level; top up with gearbox oil if necessary.
Always exchange the drive gearbox oil in good time.
The oil filling aperture, the drain plug (see figs.
27
and
28
) and the surrounding areas must be
kept meticulously clean in order to avoid the ingress of dirt into the gearbox interior. The gear-
box oil must be exchanged after the first 25 hours of operation and then after every 100 hours of
operation or once per year, with the gearbox at operating temperature. See ‘Technical data’ for
the oil filling quantity and oil quality!
