T r o u b l e Shooting: If engine f a i l s t o s t a r t a f t e r a s c e r t a i n i n g t h a t f u e l r e a c h e s solenoid i n l e t ,
f i r s t c h e c k t h a t solenoid i s o p e r a t i n g ; a n a u d i b l e c l i c k will b e b e a r d when s o l e n o i d i s e n e r g i z e d .
In the event t h a t s t i l l no f u e l flows f r o m outlet of r e g u l a t o r , the difficulty m a y be t r a c e d t o a
sticky valve d i s c in solenoid a s s e m b l y .
If engine d o e s not idle with a d j u s t i n g s c r e w in a n y p o s i t i o n , the t r o u b l e , m o s t l i k e l y , c a n
be t r a c e d t o the low p r e s s u r e v a l v e , a s d i r t o r f o r e i g n m a t t e r m a y have b e c o m e lodged o n the
s e a t . T h i s c a n h e r e m e d i e d by washing the valve and s e a t i n a s o l v e n t .

with p a r t s a n d f a c i l i t i e s f o r t e s t i n g . H o w e v e r , if t h i s i s not p o s s i b l e , p r o c e e d a s follows:

p o s t o r b o s s i s m a c h i n e d and m a r k e d with a n a r r o w f o r the p u r p o s e of setting the
p r e s s u r e valve l e v e r . The valve l e v e r should b e c e n t e r e d o n the a r r o w b e f o r e tightening
the s c r e w s holding the valve block. Top of l e v e r should b e f l u s h with the top of the post.
Bend the valve l e v e r , if n e c e s s a r y , t o the c o r r e c t height.

s u r e l e v e r if n e c e s s a r y by shifting valve a s s e m b l y a n d retightening s c r e w s .
