COARSE ADJUSTMENT OF THE LASER BEAM
Position the laser transmitter (S-unit by default) as close to object beginning (or to the first overlapped
point on splice if splices used). Place the receiver (M-unit by default) at the closest position to the
transmitter. Adjust the position of the transmitter so the laser beam hits approximately centre of the target
of receiver. Look to beam position indicator on the display. After that, move receiver as far from the
transmitter as possible, but still on the object (or on the current splice if splices used).
Adjust the angle of the laser beam using adjustment screws on transmitter, so the laser beam hits
approximately centre of the target of receiver. Move receiver to the first measurement point. Check that is
appropriate point no. / splice no.(if any) selected on the display.
If the laser beam is far from centre of the target, repeat adjustment procedure.
Coarse adjustment should be performed once for object or for each splice if splices used.
Do not touch transmitter (or adjust receiver) during measurement!
