Remove drain plug (P2) on the strainer cover and drain the
oil (approximately 4 ℓ) staying in the internal piping.

Loosen mounting bolts (6) of the power train pump strain-
er, and remove cover (7).
8.
Take out spring (8) and then take out strainer (9).
9.
Remove all dirt from strainer (9), then wash it in clean die-
sel fuel or flushing oil.
At this time, clean the inside of the case and the parts tak-
en out as well.
10. Loosen mounting bolts (10) of the scavenging pump strain-
er, and remove cover (11).
11. Remove strainer (12).
12. Remove all dirt from strainer (12), then wash it in clean diesel fuel or flushing oil.
At this time, clean the inside of the case and the parts taken out as well.
13. Install the strainer as before.
If the spring or strainer is broken, replace them.
14. Replace the power train oil filter element.

15. Add the refill capacity of oil through oil filler port (F).

16. After adding the oil, check that the oil level is proper.

METHOD FOR REPLACING POWER TRAIN CASE BREATHER
1.
Remove exterior cover (1) at the right of the cab.
2.
Remove breather (2) and replace it with a new one.
Breather (2) is installed to the right of the window (on the
rear side of the machine).
