3) Loosen the cap of the coolant filler port (8) of the sub-
tank.
4) Add coolant to the radiator through the coolant filler
port (9) on top of the radiator.
5) Add the coolant through the coolant filler port (8) of
the sub-tank.
6) Install the cover (7) with bolts (6).
7) Install the cover (5) with bolts (4).
If more coolant is added than usual, then check for water
leakage.

Check that there is no oil in the engine coolant or any oth-
er problem.

After refilling with coolant, tighten the cap securely.
REMARK
When replacing the coolant, the air must be bled from the
circuit. Perform the replacement of the coolant by referring
to “METHOD FOR CLEANING INSIDE OF COOLING
SYSTEM”.

Allow parts and oils to cool to touch before you perform maintenance.
REMARK
• Wait for at least 15 minutes after stopping the engine after the engine has been operated, and check the oil
level.
• The oil level can be checked when the engine is running at low idle as well. When checking in such condi-
tion, observe the following.
• Check that the indicator of engine coolant temperature is in white range.
• Use the face with “ENGINE IDLING” mark of the dipstick.
• Remove the oil filler cap.
